Every year we run different academic events that offer an opportunity for postgraduate students to broaden their knowledge and to communicate their work to other fellow students. Some of these events are our monthly Student Seminars, our yearly lecture by an SPIE Visiting Lecturer.
As a special event, we launched the Biophotonics North Conference in November 2016 with support from the SPIE FOCUS Conference Program, the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA), the University of St Andrews, the Institute of Physics (IoP Scotland), M2 Lasers, Edinburgh Instruments, and Hamamatsu Photonics.
Additionally, we are aiming to expand the scope of our academic events to promote the interaction between the postgraduate and the undergraduate communities of the School of Physics and Astronomy of St Andrews. This year, we will launch a new ‘Undergraduates + Postgraduates Event’.
